The bimini (sun tent) has only become an old rag 😉. It still belongs to the previous owner and needs to be replaced. Now that we are in Sweden, supplier Rössy can easily come by to measure a new bimini.

The new bimini is wider and has four zippered sides made of a material that blocks out the sun but is transparent. The sides can be fastened around the cockpit rim with hooks. The sides can also be fastened together with Velcro.

Convenient to also be able to ward off the sun from the side without having to stretch a sheet or towel with clothes pegs like we used to do before. In this way the whole cockpit can also be closed when we are in areas with many insects as in 2009 in The Gambia. Then we no longer need a mosquito net 😃.
