We've had new carpets laid all over the boat. The standard colour cream from Hallberg-Rassy is just a bit darker than the previous floor covering, with a small speck of warm brown. Very nice and somewhat less contagious 😃.
We had the carpet fastened with Velcro instead of press studs. That's a huge improvement, we can recommend that to everyone. Especially if you regularly have to click the carpet open to get something out of a hatch underneath. Then, after regular use, the carpet will break at the place of the push button.

The Velcro is sewn onto the carpet but you can't see that from the top. The other part of the Velcro is glued to the floor and stapled. It doesn't come loose, not even after regular use. A very nice solution!
