At Adams Boat Care - part 2

The rebuilding of the entrance will eventually take 3.5 weeks. During that time we are moored at the yard and just working ourselves. In the evenings we occasionally go out for dinner in Henรคn or Ellรถs, or we (especially me ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) take a walk around the island of Vindรถn.
The third week of the rebuild is all about assembling the door's sliding structure and the enclosure around the polyester body inside. Also painting the door shiny and making the white polyester exterior nice (because the new entrance is a bit smaller). Great progress! Carl has all the time for our boat because the vacation season is here and no other matters need his attention.

The weather is still beautiful. During the weekend we are anchored just around the corner at the little island of Kรคlvon. We are all alone there and that gives us a very luxurious feeling. The water is at a lovely temperature, so we regularly jump in to swim around the boat. As if we were in a luxury villa with a beautiful view and a private pool ๐Ÿ˜Š.
Toine does some chores, I read and take a walk, and we watch the Olympics on the beautiful new TV outside. A lovely day like that ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š.

On Sunday we sail back in time because Carl is coming in the afternoon to glue the U-frame outside. That saves a day's work so we can start our vacation on Wednesday.
By the way, the line between working and vacation is very thin in our situation. We are 'with our house' in an environment where you normally only come when you are on vacation, while we are working. We go on vacation 'with our house' in the same environment where the workplace is present and can be used that way. We especially see the advantages of such a thin line. It is important to be able to draw the line mentally and fortunately we are both good at that โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Œ. So for me it's no problem to do some work that requires it during the first two days of the vacation, when the girls aren't here yet anyway.

The last few days at Adams Boat Care have been a pleasant bustle. The Esther of Sweden (Swedish HR62) is leaving their boat here for a refit in the winter. We already knew each other from instagram. Nice to meet them and chat about each other's boats and travel plans. We borrow the car of Heinz (of the Swiss HR36 Anika) to go out twice in Henรฅn when the U-frames are glued and we cannot easily get in and out of the boat. At the last minute we meet Rutger and his family (HR46 Esperanza) briefly ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Carl and Anna work hard through Wednesday afternoon to get everything done on time. For them too, the vacations are now approaching. Thanks Carl and Anna for the perfect service, your creativity and skill. We enjoyed getting this challenging job done together ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘Œ. We are extremely happy with the beautiful result, see here for the overall process.

Last night we left Vindรถn to sail to Gothenburg in a few days and pick up the girls there on Saturday afternoon. The next few days the weather will be more changeable with rain, wind and thunderstorms. Oh well, we've had such beautiful weather in the last 4.5 weeks! We are looking forward to a nice period of 'real' vacation in this beautiful area together with the girls ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘.
