We are currently sailing on the Bay of Biscay and are already well over half. The weather is fine. The wind comes right from behind and was very weak at first so we motored. But now we have a wind force 4 which allows us to sail well. Last night we left the continental shelf. Then the depth changes fairly fast from 150 meters to over 4 kilometers. With a strong southwesterly wind there is no place to be. But with a calm northwesterly wind no problem and hardly noticeable. On board everything is fine. The first day a bit catty; we regularly roll from left to right through the waves. But fortunately none of us have been really sick and the girls have no problems at all. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins at this crossing (only Toine during his night watch). But we have another day tomorrow! We talk to the Valentine twice a day with the shortwave radio. They sail about 25 miles behind us. We expect to arrive Thursday night/friday morning.

Hi, everybody,
It's so much fun to follow all your experiences on the created site. We hope that you will continue to do so until the end of the journey.
Also super fun for the girls that they've already spotted dolphins, I'm sure this won't be the last....
When you arrive at the mainland in Spain, we will approximately leave for our holiday destination.

Hey, how nice to see you dolphins. How good that you also have photo's of them, it's very nice to have a piece of your journey with you, reading and watching. We have so much fun here as well.
Greetings, Tanja, David and Jaap Slot
