It's a lovely sunny Easter weekend. Perfect as the first sailing weekend of the season. Grandma's going all weekend. On Good Friday we take it easy. We sail the short stretch to Mosselbank and make the boat ready for sailing. We put on the sails and clean it. After we have calibrated the autopilot the next morning we are on our way.
We sail to Willemstad, through the Bruinisse lock, then the Krammer lock and finally the Volkerak lock. This way we arrive just in time to welcome Maaike and Peter and their two daughters. We sail to a nice anchorage and have a barbecue there. The girls have a great time, including rowing in the dinghy.
On Easter Monday we first take a nice walk over the ramparts of Willemstad. After that Inge and Mark come with kids. With ten of us on the boat fits perfectly. We make a nice sailing trip around Tiengemeenten on the Haringvliet. In the evening we eat unexpectedly nice and extensive in a very nice restaurant in Willemstad.
On Easter Monday we sail back to Bruinisse. Oops ... mistake ... in the Krammersluis we moor to starboard and there is the wind generator. Due to the violence of the swirling water of commercial shipping, we are pushed against the lock wall and a piece of one of the blades breaks off. We know that again ... from now on we will always moor on the port side.
