In the late winter of 2023, Toine is installing 5 new gauges above the cabin entrance and an Axiom+ 9-inch navigation screen on the helm. We can purchase the meters relatively cheaply from HR parts in Sweden. Now all devices in the navigation network are again of the same generation and the network has become a bit simpler again.
Nice that Toine is good at this type of installation himself; it saves a lot in cost and he knows immediately how everything was installed.
On the navigation screen on the helm we set up a dual screen with the map on the left and all the engine information on the right.
The 5 screens above the cabin entrance are configurable with lots of different information. We choose to limit the amount of information. Sometimes "less is more" 😉 .
From left but right:
- SOG in big and speed and flow in small.
- Depth
- Wind gauge
- Wind gauge detail 60 degrees
- Time and sea temperature
We were able to sell the old meters just fine through Marketplace and make someone else happy.
