The rest of the spring in Bruinisse flies by. Toine goes to the office regularly but I still work completely from 'home'. Fortunately that works fine on the boat βΊοΈ. Although it will be good for me to go to the office more often after the summer holidays. I spend a lot of hours in the same small space now and the contact with colleagues is limited. During the week we regularly go golfing or walking in the evenings. Once, when the weather was nice, we anchored off Stampersplaat for a midweek while we worked. That gives an enormous feeling of freedom.
The weekends are fun with the girls, family or friends. On Ascension Day we go with the NoDoubt and Calanche to Burghsluis and Zierikzee. For the first time we come off the Grevelingen with a bridge that finally works again. A weekend with a lot of car logistics with the girls and Toine who gets his first shot on Sunday morning in Goes. For the first time we sit on a terrace, at the Oliegeultje, how lovely is that π.
Whitsun Sunday Inge and Mark sail with the kids for a day. That means sporty sailing and in between anchoring in the Hals to watch F1. Later in the harbor we have a delicious dinner with Canadian beef from the Kamadoe Joe and with ten people at the table inside. Yes Mark, that fits π . A super cozy day ππ.
Whit Monday we visit Pieter and Eline and Pieter arranges a real Japanese dinner at Juliana's πππ.
That weekend I suffer from positional vertigo. Fortunately only when I am lying on my left side. After a couple of days it is completely gone. Could it have come from a night in a moving bed because of the strong wind from the side? By which my balance organ got confused? I can't find any other explanation π.
The next weekend there is little wind and we anchor at the Mosselbank with the NoDoubt and the Calanche without the girls. A lazy weekend with chatting and eating.
The first week of June Toine drives to Nijmegen every day because Harry is temporarily in the hospital. Fortunately he can go home again on Friday afternoon without any complaints.
In the weekend we go to Zierikzee with Marinthe and Sam. Eline has some study association activities in Maastricht. For the first time in over half a year we can go out for dinner. On Friday we have dinner at Sailors Inn and on Saturday we have dinner at the Kaoie in Zierikzee ππ. After dinner Ellen and Jan drop by; they are in the neighbourhood with their camper. Always familiar and cosy with their π. Both the way there and back it is great sailing with bft 3-4 from the north-west. Even sailing we manage to watch the F1 π.
The second weekend of June Marinthe is working 3 days at Sailors Inn. Eline joins the sailing party and in the evening we anchor at Stampersplaat with the NoDoubt. The next morning we hear that a good friend (our age) has had a heart attack. What a shock and how nice that the operation went well. We realize that it is important to take care of our lifestyle βΊοΈ.
The last Sunday before we leave for Sweden we drive to Maastricht and have dinner with the girls. They are going their own way the coming weeks and it is still uncertain if we will have holidays together. Who knows, first we go to Sweden for the renovation of the entrance. Then we'll see.
