Where in the boat would it fit? We came up with the idea of using the closet on the port side opposite the engine room. That's actually the only place where this machine would fit well. Previously, our sailing gear used to hang here, but that can easily go to the old washing machine closet in the front bathroom. That's even better, because it's more of a 'wet room' for drying sailing gear.
And that's why we asked Carl to rebuild that closet. These are the modifications:
- The door should be wider and higher, but that's no problem at all. Carl can easily make a new door.
- The machine will stand on a solid waterproof white board.
- A new drain through the hull for getting rid of the water (also the water from the dryer).
- Water supply and electricity.
