In the summer of 2016 we will visit the Hallberg Rassy shipyard in Sweden, where we will get inspiration for various improvements such as redesigning the steering position with a new steering position panel. We also want much better and more extensive engine information on the panel. To achieve this we will replace the engine electronics with the help of Volvo Penta. All engine information is now available on an A67 plotter screen on the steering position, which also acts as a fall back for the large Raymarine plotter screen.
We also want the switch between autopilot 1 and 2 on the panel, as well as the anchor switch and the outhaul switch (button with which you roll out the mainsail electrically). This leads to a completely self-designed panel plate, supplied by Hallberg Rassy.
After installation, the lighting of the buttons turns out to be too bright in the evening, which makes our boat the only boat that has an electronic, remote-controllable, steering position button lighting that can also be dimmed.
